InvisDeco (cover plate) now supports using its touch pads as Magic Touch triggers for your automations. With a simple tap, you can instantly turn on appliances or activate your preferred routines and modes.
This feature is now also available via MQTT integration for Home Assistant, giving you more flexibility in advanced setups.
If you’re using other ecosystems like Apple Home, enabling Magic Touch will automatically expose the touch pads as unconfigured buttons within the Matter ecosystem, allowing you to assign actions directly.
Step 1: Click on the Device Info on the MQTT device.
Step 2: Click on Automations and select "Use device as trigger".
Step 3: Click on "+ Add trigger" button.
Step 4: Select "Device" and pick the Device you want to configure. In the Trigger section, select "First button" pressed or "Second button" pressed, which are the top and bottom touch pads, respectively.
Step 5: Select the "Then do" actions that you would like to configure. In this example, we are turning off the InvisOutlet's first outlet power.
Once configured, your Magic Touch buttons will give you instant, seamless control over your smart home with just a tap.
