Health, Safety, and Best Practices

Caution: Use with Medical and Life Assistance Devices

InvisOutlet Pro is a smart outlet that can be controlled via touch or remotely through the InvisHome app. Due to its ability to be turned on or off both manually and wirelessly, it is crucial that users avoid plugging in critical medical devices or life support equipment into this outlet. Devices that require continuous power, such as ventilators, oxygen machines, or other life-assisting equipment, should not be connected to the InvisOutlet Pro.

Important:
  • Unintended Power Loss: The touch control or remote operation may accidentally turn off connected devices without notice.
  • Remote App Control: Ensure no one remotely operates the InvisOutlet Pro if critical devices are in use.
  • Recommendation: Always plug essential medical equipment directly into a standard, non-smart outlet to ensure consistent power.

For any medical or life-supporting equipment, consult a healthcare professional or the equipment manufacturer for guidance on safe usage.

Caution: Prevent Unintended Interaction by Pets and Small Children

InvisOutlet Pro is designed for easy touch control and remote operation via the InvisHome app. However, this ease of use also means that pets or small children may unintentionally activate or deactivate the outlet, which could lead to power disruptions or safety hazards.

Important:
  • Accidental Activation: Pets or children may unknowingly turn the outlet on or off by touching it or interacting with devices connected to it.
  • Supervision Required: Ensure that the outlet is installed in locations that are out of reach of small children and pets to prevent unintended interaction.
  • Recommendation: Consider using outlet covers or protective barriers in areas accessible to children or pets.

Always supervise the use of the InvisOutlet Pro in environments where pets and children are present to avoid unintentional operation and maintain safety.

Best Practices: Use of Adapters and Heat-Emitting Devices

The InvisOutlet Pro is equipped with a built-in temperature monitoring feature designed to enhance safety and optimize performance. However, plugging in adapters or devices that emit heat directly at the outlet can interfere with accurate temperature readings and may compromise the outlet's functionality.

Guidelines:
  • Avoid Heat-Emitting Devices: Do not plug in devices that generate significant heat, such as high-wattage adapters and space heaters directly into the InvisOutlet Pro. These can cause inaccurate temperature monitoring.
  • Monitor Device Usage: If you notice an abnormally high-temperature reading in the InvisHome app and/or other connected platforms, check the plug or adapter connected to the InvisOutlet Pro.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure that the temperature monitoring feature works effectively.
